Reporting to an experienced Manager, you will be a key contributor to our strategy and its execution, ensuring quality services to our clients during a high-growth trajectory.
About the Role
The responsibilities in the role include:
- Review the client brief for a project and understand all fire safety implications, including any expectations beyond minimum compliance with the Building Code of Australia.
- Prepare a fire engineering strategy that balances performance solutions and is deemed to satisfy design.
- Ensure that all design strategies are conducted in accordance with regulations and provide assurance that all operational and functional requirements have been met.
- Consult with stakeholders to obtain inputs and comments.
- Prepare and report on fire, smoke and evacuation modelling.
- Prepare Performance-Based Design Briefs and Fire Engineering Reports in accordance with the Australian Fire Engineering Guidelines.
- Design a strategy tailored to reduce the ongoing essential services maintenance costs over the lifecycle of a building.
- Conduct fire engineering assessments for blue chip clients including design review audits.
About You
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Fire Safety Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree qualification in Engineering
- At least 3 + years experience in Fire Engineering consultancy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including report writing
- Proven commercial acumen and the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Attention to detail
- The ability to use initiative to think creatively

Fire Safety Building Compliance Auditors | NSW, QLD, VIC

In a period of consistent growth, we are seeking to appoint three experienced and qualified auditors perform a variety of Safety Measure / Essential Safety Provisions (ESP) audits. You’ll be joining our high-calibre, close-knit teams, with one position available at each of our offices located in NSW, QLD, and VIC.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role you will be conducting fire safety audits and assessments for our key clients.
The main responsibilities include:
- Inspections against relevant standards of performance/ maintenance
- Auditing of contractor maintenance records
- Producing a range of client reports
- Conducting System Interface Testing with associated contractor or consultants to test and assess the operation of components
- Conducting passive fire inspections and produce compliance reports
- Account management of major clients and when necessary undertake NCC Building Code of Australia compliance reviews.
ABOUT YOU
Ideally you’ll bring with you the following:
- Solid experience as a Safety Measures/ ESP auditor, Building Inspector or in an aligned role in Building, Engineering, Facilities Management of commercial and industrial-type buildings
- The ability to identify and evaluate risk to buildings
- Attention to detail and ability to proficiently write high quality building reports in a timely manner
- Ability to project manage smaller projects and works
- Ability to inspect buildings and work autonomously
- Proficiency with digital technology and industry apps (Uptick preferred)
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Have a solid understanding of NCC, BCA and/or WHS risk identification/ evaluation to existing buildings
In addition to FPAS accreditation, you will preferably have one of the following qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor of Construction Management
- Diploma or Bachelor of Building Surveying
- Diploma or Bachelor of Applied Science (Building)
- Diploma or Bachelor of Construction Technology
- Diploma or Bachelor of Building Services Management
- Diploma or Bachelor of Architectural Science

A career opportunity has arisen in our Perth team based at our 216 St Georges Terrace, Perth office.
The successful applicant will undertake Safety Measures / Building Compliance inspections.
The role is suitable for an experienced auditor however a graduate auditor or someone still at university will also be considered. TESG provide on the job training, and mentorship from our Senior Auditors in WA. The successful candidate will be a team player with the natural ability to provide a high standard of customer service to our client base.
Ongoing training and development is provided to all staff at TESG.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma or Bachelors level qualification in Building Surveying, Applied Science (Building), Fire Safety Engineering or Building Services Management.
You will also bring with you:
- A working understanding of AS 1851 including System Interface Testing (preferred) and the Building Regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current / Valid WA Drivers License

ABOUT YOU
You will be registered as an unlimited building surveyor and have the following:

Administration Assistant (Part-Time) | NSW
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Administration Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality administrative support to the National Administration Team, Account Managers, and Operations Team to ensure the efficient delivery of services to clients across Australia.
Working in a part-time capacity, this role is responsible for coordinating and completing annual building compliance certificates, maintaining client records and administration systems, assisting with scheduling, preparing documentation, and performing a broad range of general administrative duties. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Duties include, but are not limited to:
CLIENT & COMPLIANCE ADMINISTRATION
- Coordinate, collate and complete annual building compliance certificates for clients nationally.
- Assist State and Account Managers with the preparation and completion of compliance certificates, inspection reports and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and within legislative timeframes relevant to each State and Territory.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
- Assist with the administration and ongoing management of client accounts.
- Monitor outstanding documentation and follow up with clients and contractors as required.
SCHEDULING & COORDINATION
- Schedule inspections, testing, appointments and other service activities.
- Coordinate technician and contractor bookings where required.
- Arrange travel and accommodation for staff when required.
- Liaise with contractors, facility managers, building owners and local authorities.
- Assist in coordinating project and client activities to ensure deadlines are achieved.
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
- Maintain and update company management systems, including Uptick, Xero and other internal databases.
- Prepare invoices and supportive documentation.
- Draft and prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, meeting agendas and other business documents.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
- Monitor and respond to email enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain electronic and minimal hard copy filing systems.
- Order and maintain office stationery and administrative supplies (minimal).
- Assist with data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Support meeting coordination, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and recording meeting minutes.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the Directors, Management Team and other departments as required.
- Complete other administrative duties as directed.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reporting directly to the National Administration Manager, this role requires a motivated, organised and adaptable individual who is able to work effectively in a part-time capacity while supporting the National Administration Team and broader business operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, flexibility and a commitment to delivering exceptional administrative support and customer service.
